Scanners are used to store any image or text exactly in digital data or on a computer.  Scanners were the only means of storing any printed information on a computer before digital cameras came out.

 The job of the scanner is

1. You can see everything through the scanner, writing pictures, lines, etc. through the        computer.

2. Editing and printer work can be done.

3. It is mainly used in professional publishing.

4. It allows you to use as many colors as you want by adding new dimensions to multiple images.

5. Images, texts, etc. can be read through scanners, light rays, and light-sensitive devices.

 

The way the scanner works

The scanner works like a photocopy machine.  The specific picture or paper is placed facing the glass and then covered with a lid.  A light-emitting bulb under the glass illuminates the entire paper as soon as a specific button or command is given.  By emitting this light it reads the complete information of the paper and displays it on the monitor through electric waves.  So the user can easily save it to the computer.
